What businesses often ask us.
The questions that come up in almost every first conversation — with the same answer we give on the phone.
How long does it really take?
Within 72 hours of our conversation, the one where we confirm the start. Your details take ten minutes, the rest we clear up on the phone — you do not have to send anything more before the clock starts. Not included in this deadline is the verification of your Google listing: the review is Google’s. It takes a few days depending on the case and we have no influence on it. We submit it on day one and tell you as soon as it is visible.
What do I have to supply?
Your logo if you have one, a few photos of your work, your services and contact details. The rest we write and put in front of you.
Can I change the website myself later on?
The Business package includes an admin area: texts, prices, images and posts are yours to change, and the change is online a few minutes later. In the Business card package we make changes for you, usually within one working day. And if you want to go deeper, you get access to the code — the website is yours.
What if I do not like the result?
You see your website fully built before it goes live — not a sketch, but your images and your services. Whatever we phrased on your behalf is marked as ours: you check it instead of adopting it. One round of corrections is always included: texts, images and colour variant. Larger rebuilds such as additional pages are billed separately, and we name the price beforehand.
What am I paying for every month?
For the part you only notice when it is missing: server, domain, security certificate, updates and backups that we restore regularly to be sure they work. Plus small changes with no hours counted and the upkeep of your Google listing. A single additional job in the year covers the fee — for most businesses several times over.
And if I cancel later — what happens to the website?
You keep everything. The domain is in your name from the start, and we hand over the source code. The website keeps running with any other provider — it is not locked into a closed builder. We hand over files and access: that is not a separate service and it costs nothing. The minimum term is 12 months, with monthly notice thereafter.
Someone I know could build me the same thing.
Building is the smaller part. Afterwards come updates, the security certificate expires, the domain needs renewing, and one day an enquiry stops arriving. If that person has no time just then, your website is down — and you usually only notice when someone calls to say the page will not open. That part is exactly what we take on, permanently and under contract.
Do I need a domain already?
No. We take care of it — and register it in your name, not ours. If you already have one, we take it over.
And if I have no photos at all?
Tell us early. We will discuss what can be done with phone pictures and where a photographer is worth it.
